Although this underpins the story, the bulk of what we read about is how two young girls cope on their own in a new town. Their apartment has some interesting characters, which overtime they come to know. Livey, tries her best to help Kacey let down her barriers and give people's chance. Taking Livie's advice, Kacey finds a well paying job, a new best friend and considers letting a guy factor into her life again. Not to say there isn't angst throughout the whole book, some steamy moments and definitely some moments that make you smirk. Definitely worth reading!
