Wanted came highly recommended from a work colleague that enjoys similar books to me. Initially I thought I'd purchased another book than the one she was talking about, but no, it had the same characters! Why didn't I connect with this book? The receptiveness, swearing just for the sake of it and it felt like I was in a room with a couples of annoying teenagers. There are many YA books I've enjoyed, so I don't think it was the genre - just a case of no chemistry for me. Wanted is the story of A brother who takes care of his sister because their mother is emotionally abusive and down right negligent when it comes to providing the basic needs for her daughter. Ellie has a best friend Ari who is a saving grace for Ellie, but speaks without thinking, has a habit of swearing and talking crudely. Jefferson, Ellie's brother is at college and lives with his best friend Gunner. Jefferson and Gunner are right into college life, the sport, partying, girls and drinking.
