Well this took ages to get into but here I am and what can I say!
Darkhouse turned into a page turner towards the end and I'm keen for the next book in this series.
For the better part of the story, it felt like I was being introduced to Perry and Dex. Perry lacks self confidence due mainly to a gorgeous, successful younger sister, a mother that berates her about what she should and shouldn't be doing and a job that is entry level at the best in her chosen career. Dex is a charming, confusing and evasive would be film director / camerman. Together they start a partnership that appears to be a lot more than it is to others and through them we get glimpses of other interesting characters, that I'm sure will appear in future books. If I had to base my rating for this book solely on the last 60 odd pages, I would have easily give it four stars, but since it has taken me days to really get into Darkhouse, I opted for three stars based on the entire book.
